About Me

CURRENT MISSION

having the fortune to see the world as it is.... incredibly diverse!!!!

ABOUT ME

Hi everyone!!!

My name is Eduardo, and my mission is keeping myself trying to learn what is this thing called life

What can I say??? I'm a microbiologist, I have some strange fascination for the small bugs, not even the more sophisticated machine can be like one of this small, crazy, cool bacterias!! I try to keep myself busy, from one job to the next, and I hope and some point I can make my own business.

Meantime, I am doing all my efforts to travel as much as I can. In these moments that I am still young and healthy and without crazy children becoming you madly crazy, I am trying to travel almost everywhere. Because in each trip, I learn something new about myself.

In the meantime, I work, watch movies, work, read, work, and spend time with friends, and I do all that stuff every time my work allow me!!! At the moment I feel especially gifted by the (always strange) destiny living in the Middle East, a special situation that allowed me to fulfill part of my traveling dream. It is like a blessing from Allah!!! hehehe

I expect to know soooooo many exciting and strange places and cultures around all the world!!!I have a checklist of places I want to visit before I establish in a fixed location with a fixed job and house. The checklist is going very well, and I already went over the half of the trips I wanted to do. However, there is still around 40% remaining, so the mission continues!!!

PHILOSOPHY

Do the things make you happy, whatever they are
and work a lot to obtain it!!! the things achieved with great sacrifice are the most enjoyed!!!

and always trust in the Universe.... it always has the best surprises for you if you keep your mind positive

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

My first experience was in Europe in September 2009 and I was couched in Halle (Germany), a great experience with Galli, a german student.

As I feel more confident with CS, I meet more people through it in my trip to the Holy Land and NYC. It was just great!!!

Here I also find good suggestions and help all the time, any place I visit.

I try also to participate in some activities of the CS group in Bogota, my city, when I am there.

I hope I can show my city to the interested people, and may be find travel partners for future trips. In the meantime I can also show and host people in Thuwal (KSA), but I do not know if someone is really interested to come here.... (I have to be honest, there is nothing to see, just the Red Sea)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

In Germany, I was couched by one nice guy called Andreas... and I was surprised of the good hosting, it was a great experience because you not only stay in the place but also know a new person who can become a good friend... I like it a lot.

After that, the experience is just positive. In Israel, NYC, Malaysia, Russia, US... the list is sooo long I met more nice people with whom I am still in touch.

I hope to know more interesting places in this way... I think is better that just travel... you really feel immersed in the place and the culture. You can absorb the environment, your soul is touched and your experience is boosted to the maximum!! Now I cannot imagine traveling without CS. It just not the same.

Interests

TRAVEL!! I expect to know at least one place in all continents (Antartic included).

I try to read a lot, watch movies and eat very good, jajaja. But noting better than a good conversation. I have to confess I spend (sometimes waste???) huge amounts of time talking with people.

I am trying to learn to cook decent food.... I already got some progress... but still lots to learn.

and beer!!! hahaha
