关于我

CURRENT MISSION

Luckily the world is so enormous and it has such amazing places to discover that I'm actually very busy completing this task. As money doesn't grow on trees, I need some in order to achieve my goal, but this is not a problem when you love languages and they are your job. So currently I'm mixing these two activities!

ABOUT ME

I'm a Catalan living in Girona, a wonderful small city in the north of Catalonia, near France, who remained undiscovered for the tourists until Game of Thrones landed there to shoot some of their episodes, which I've never seen and which I'm probably not going to see. So now the town is better-known and visited by herds of tourists - a bit of an exaggeration-, but it is still the most beautiful town I've seen (I'm totally objective). From there, in a 20-minute drive you reach astonishing beaches in Costa Brava, and in an hour and 30 minutes you find yourself in the middle of the steep and green Pyrenees. I can't think of a better location to live if you like nature, hiking and exploring.
I've studied Translation and Literature in the bigger and gorgeous city of Barcelona, and I became a language teacher, my current job. Reading is also my passion and I would like to become a literature translator, but I think that this will take me some more time. I'm not in a hurry.
I always try to make the most of life, since we're here only once. That means a lot of things, but the most relevant here is that I love travelling and I do it as often as I can. New cultures give you another perspective of the world, new ways to understand things and you become more and more open-minded (of course it depends on the kind of travel you do, Couchsurfing is one of the better ways to break cultural barriers and know more about each other). Few things make you grow more than travelling.
I've been a scout leader for many years, so: Leave the world better than you found it.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never hosted someone because I live with my parents and this situation is not ideal to host people, but I've had really good hosts in Couchsurfing around the world. For example in Italy I spent a night in a young couple's house in Bologna, who were really kind and they cooked a tasty dinner for us, we also shared a bottle of wine!
In another trip I made along the West Coast of the United States, in Seattle a friend of mine and I stayed with a lovely school teacher who opened her cozy apartment for us and who had nothing but good words to welcome us at her place. We stayed with her two nights and the last one we decide to take her to a Mexican restaurant and invite her to dinner.
Another couchsurfing experience which is worth mentioning was in Monterey, between San Francisco and Los Angeles, when we had no place to sleep and at the last minute we found a nice boy who allowed us to stay with him, and the conversation starts flowing so quickly that on the next day he came on a daytrip with us!
If there's one useful thing about new technologies is above all making possible to get in touch with people in all places. Luckily Couchsurfing exists to make these experiences possible.

兴趣

I like to do a four-day hike and to get lost in the middle of the mountains. I like to jump in the water in a sandy on a boiling summer day. I like skiing. I like discovering a new city for the first time, knowing the story about the cathedral and knowing where to party at night. I like to drink beer. I like to read about almost everything. I like to collect postcards of all around the world (a bit touristy, I know, but I can't even resist to it, sorry). I like to speak French.

I like enjoying life. I like walking by the seaside, discovering new cities and countries, skiing, swimming, having a conversation with someone next to a good beer.

Swimming to an old abandoned fortress near the sea in Croatia, with no access from the main land, and exploring the big galleries and the stunning terrace.

教,学,和分享

I'm a friendly person who likes to share conversations and exchange experiences with the ones willing to do it.
Of course, I can teach you about my country and its traditions, I always like to let the other people discover how amazing Catalonia is.
I'm open-minded to learn lots of things about the other countries, cultures, traditions, languages... we'll never learn too many things about the world.

我可以与沙发主分享些什么

I'm not very good at cooking, so it will be better not to ask me to cook something traditional of my country, but I would be glad to help my hosts in whatever they want to, to share a good beer and an interesting conversation.
