Overview
About Me
At a workaway in central Norway, deep within the dark mountain forest grounds owned by a fat crazed ex black-ops sharpshooter with no money but a lot of character, I met a British chap on a misty private lake fishing in the rain on a leaky plastic row boat. Together, around the hopelessly fish-less campfire, we devised a plan to cycle back to civilisation. Within 36 hours, the gods bestowed me with a beautiful slightly undersized blue DBS Kilimanjaro trekking bike, purchased from the elderly neighbours that lived up the hill. This beast of burden will carry me back home to central Netherlands, where it will probably sit and rust for some years, because I am realising now, 600km in, that cycling is actually quite tiring..
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
On my way back home I would love to meet people of different culture and plug my phone charger into their walls.
Music, Movies, and Books
All music interests me, but there is a special place in my heart for 70s progressive rock that I can sing along to in the car.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
On this trip, broke into the ice caves of hell, skinny dipping with whales in the cold Geiranger fjord while singing the national anthem on the Norwegian national day, visited a some catholic goats in a different Hell, fixing and watching a 70 year old tractor come to life or camping 4m up high in a tree Gothenburgs Änggårdsbergen.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you have passion for anything, like vintage chewing gum or underwater stamp collecting, I would love to learn from you. I can show you the fine nuance of urban hedge camping, share with you my favourite stodgy soup recipe or teach you to play the piano better than a lifetime 6 year old student, in a DAY!
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can cook, I can sing, I can be your poker dealer and maybe I can fix your 70 year old tractors?
