Overview
About Me
Light hearted with a passion for mother nature and her creations. I want to travel the world and see the more scenic side of the road than most other travellers, I am starting out alone but imagine I won't end my journey the same way :)
I am originally from St. Peter Port in Guernsey where I was born on November 10th 1993. I use my mum's address in the county of Wiltshire, England as I have lived in the town for many years now and most people know where that is (Near Stone Henge haha)!
I am under 6ft, have Green eyes with Hazel flecks but disappointingly they are covered by glasses. In the future laser eye surgery is a definite option for me,waking up every morning and being able to see perfectly is a personal dream of mine.
I LOVE animals. Big dogs especially. I would love to own a tame wolf and be a hunter/gatherer.
I can only speak English.. This is something that WILL change by the time I am 30.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To see the world and make many friends whilst doing so! I heard about CouchSurfing on the Internet and thought I would try it out. I was so SO nervous the first time however I am really enjoying it now. The wealth of knowledge that new hosts are willing to share is next to none and the mindset of sharing hospitality, politeness and often unparalleled generosity is something I've always believed in and sought after!
I have gone from a nervous newbie to a splendid surfer in next to no time and absolutely cannot wait to get home and start hosting myself! It will mean living somewhere slightly more desirable than a small country town in England though.. Ha!

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC
Music wise I am easy to please, I will happily listen to anything if it suits the ambience of the place I am at :)
On my MP3 player however, you will find a wide variance in music from acoustic guitar to heavy metal and everything in between! Favourite artists include: Ben Howard, Rise Against, Bullet For My Valentine, Kings of Leon, Bob Marley, Madness and much more!
MOVIES
I have never been one to watch television except for interesting nature documentaries (Sir David Attenborough is my HERO!).
In terms of movies though the genres I like to watch are: old school war movies (a couple of modern too BAND OF BROTHERS being THEE favourite!) action, thriller, horror, funny teen movies and romcoms plus the occasional chick flick (If a man says he doesn't enjoy the odd one he is lying!).
BOOKS
I used to read a lot when I was younger, being more interested in epic sagas such as The Lord Of The Rings and other works by J.R.R.Tolkein, The Chronicles of Narnia by C.S.Lewis and of course the Harry Potter books my J.K.Rowling.
I now find that going into my adult life I do not set aside any time to read like I did in my youth, an example of this would be the two books by George Orwell that I have in my backpack that I haven't even started yet.. 1984 and Animal Farm.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Scuba diving off the coast of Spain, following a barracuda around an isolated rock formation as well as using a strobe light in an underground cave to see photo plankton.
Teach, Learn, Share
Unfortunately I don't have many skills as such but I have picked up and improved upon a few things by myself along the way such as cooking which I very much enjoy doing.
I am always willing to cook a meal and love to be the one being cooked for especially if it's something new to me! I also weirdly enjoy the satisfaction of washing up, so much so that for big meals with a lot of preparation I will try to do the majority before the meal has been served!
I love to learn and improve my knowledge on many different subjects, I share my knowledge where I can although it is often limited. The one thing I would LOVE to learn to do would be play an acoustic guitar however again I would need to set a lot of time aside to do this, something I find difficult.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Excellent manners, home cooked meals, cleanliness and tidiness and overall a pleasant surfer. I am not so much a party goer however I am more than happy to have a few beers, with many laughs and wonderful memories :). I do currently smoke, though I am always polite above all else and I have a strong willpower so can easily not smoke for extended periods of time with non-smoking hosts and indoor public places as examples.
