Hi I'm Ed and I'm a traveller from the UK. I just finished studying before I decided to go to the other side of the world and come to Australia! If now isn't the best chance to travel and see some of the world then when is? I'm a friendly person who can be sometimes shy when first meeting new people but I would love to make friends from all over the world. I am very honest, open and would always be grateful to any host that I stay with!

I have been living in Melbourne for a few months now and am looking to travel up the east coast to experience some more of Australia. I figured CouchSurfing would be a good way to do this as I have heard great things about it. I think it would be very cool to stay in a more personalised, local place instead of public tourist places like hotels and hostels.

I've been doing karate for 9 years and although I haven't been able to train regularly the last few years because of university I still love it. I also like loads of other sports such as football, table tennis, tennis and I even went to the Australian Open in January! I also enjoy reading, gaming, playing guitar and many other things!

My favourite kind of music is rock, punk rock or pop punk, If you haven't heard of a band called Biffy clyro over here I will introduce you to them! I also like lots of other music too such has country, folk, pop, and some reggae and rnb. My favourite movies ever are The Lord of the Rings trilogy but I am pretty much up for watching any genre of films, and like a good scary movie every now and again too! I enjoy reading and would say my favourite kind of books are fantasy novels, crime thrillers and historical fiction books.

I once drank a bottle of Tabasco sauce. Yes it was horrible! Haha but no, realistically something that meant a lot to me was getting my black belt a few years ago, as I had put so much effort into it while studying at uni as well.

I love to learn new things from other people and hear their views of the world! If I can share my experiences or knowledge to benefit people that would be great as well.
I could probably teach the basics of guitar, as well as how to read music. I am very interested in science and the world around us so I love conversations about these topics and I also really enjoy learning new languages from people I meet!
