About Me

I'm a 43 year old accountant that is interested in learning about other cultures. I am originally from San Francisco in the United States. I recently found a particular niche in the accounting industry that will allow me to take significant time off every year. I've also chosen a lifestyle that doesn't require that I make tons of money.

I'm basically a laid-back guy with a desire to explore different parts of the world.

Over the past few years I've become somewhat of a morning person. There is nothing I enjoy more than enjoying a hot cup of coffee while reading a book or listening to a podcast.

I've also become somewhat handy in the kitchen. I hope to one day become an adept home cook.

I rarely drink alcohol.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've met countless people who have had positive experiences via this platform. It's time I give it a try. I'm going to be visiting many places as a solo traveler and it would be nice to meet locals who have insight into what makes a particular place special.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I try to be the best grandson I can be. I sometimes fall short of this but I want to make sure that I care for the person that basically raised me.

I guess something more typical that one would expect to see in this bucket would be that I did El Camino de Santiago.
