Why I’m on Couchsurfing

My main reason for hosting travelers is to provide them with a safe place to sleep. My more self-interested reason is to be able to learn more about how people go about traveling for long periods of time and why they do it.

Interests

My current interests consist of fantasizing about my next long term trip and hearing about the experiences of other travelers. I especially like meeting travelers who are on a tight budget.

I'm not an avid outdoorsman but I've always enjoyed hiking and camping. I'm also a typical gamer and a watcher of movies.

My interest in philosophy is in ethics.

I'm happy to share English with those who are learning. Though not able to speak at a conversational level I can share some Cantonese, and to a lesser extent, Mandarin as well. I'm also always eager to brush up on them both.
