Overview
About Me
I'm a minimalist backpacker but a hoarder of the intangible. I enjoy challenging myself to need as few things as possible but love to encounter new people, ideas, food, music, places, and experiences. I work remotely as a web developer which has allowed me to travel for months at a time across Asia and the US.
This year, my father will be joining me on my travels. Since he has never left the country, we're taking it slow for the spring/summer and just touring the states. This fall we'll head to Europe and then Asia for several months.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
My fondest memories of a place always involve meeting new people. Hostels can be great for that but can also be hit and miss at times. AirBnB's tend to result in somewhat formal interactions. I'd like to meet locals in each city we visit to gain a deeper understanding of the area and its people.
