About Me

* I'm currently still in Italy busy with family stuff so my apologies if it takes some time to reply to everyone.*

This particular journey began in August 2015 when I left Australia to study in Montreal, Canada for 9 months. During my time in Montreal, 2/3 into my degree I came to the conclusion that computer science isn't for me so I am taking the rest of the year off to have some adventures and prepare a portfolio before entering university again.

My primary directive in life seems to operate along the lines of keeping myself entertained. While this is the case I am engaged in life and fulfilled. All experiences positive and negative become learned lessons.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To have a culture portal

Interests

I use to work in video production and have distilled this skill/interest into photography so I usually have a camera within arms reach.

I've been throwing clay for a few months now and really love the process of sculpting and balancing a slab of clay into a functional object.

I enjoy playing around of guitar and ukulele. I play a bit of bossa nova but I usually just play for myself. I also had to sell my guitar before leaving Montreal so I haven't been able to get my hands on a guitar since April :(

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen to a little of everything. The music on my phone ranges from The Modern Lovers to De La Soul to Regina Spektor to Death Grips to Mac Demarco to Foxygen to St Vincent. At the moment probably mostly listen to my curated soundcloud playlists (https://soundcloud.com/erossi/sets/lazybeats).

I don't really watch movies. I don't usually enjoy hollywood movies but I'm always open to surprises.

I really enjoy stoic philosophy so I'm traveling with a copy of Marcus Aurelius Meditations. Also with me is a Brandt guide to Iran and Ayn Rand's the Virtue of Selfishness.

Teach, Learn, Share

I could probably teach you how to play bossa nova stylings on guitar, how to centre and sculpt clay if you have access to a throwing wheel, I can teach you to skateboard, photography, fix your computer issues. Technology (bitcoin, techno-future), philosophy, quantum realm, design. This is where my mind is focused at the moment. I would also like to learn about your interests.
