About Me
ABOUT ME
I'm an easy going Australian guy that loves to get out and explore the world. I love all kinds of music, card magic, Doctor Who, all things nerdy, sports, meeting new people and travelling.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm all about networking and meeting people. You just never know who you're going to meet. I love learning about new cultures, peoples experiences and swapping travel tips. Anywhere you've been, I want to here about it!
Interests
Travel (obvs), good nights out, food, football, dancing and wine. I enjoy finding local undiscovered bars and family run restaurants. Join me to go Salsa dancing and you'll win my heart. I also enjoy just having a class of wine and a chat about whatever comes to mind. I'm an advocate of the should we get a cat or a dog debate (thanks Justyna).
Music, Movies, and Books
I have fairly eclectic taste in music. Everything from 1930s Lindy to the Hilltop Hoods. From the Beatles to old school Daft Punk. From Creedence Clearwater Revival to Rage Against the Machine. Throw in a bit of salsa, bachata and merengue to round it all off.
I'm currently taking advantage of the Amazon Kindle summer sale so I'm swamped in books. At the moment I'm reading 'The Martian' by Andy Weir. Other favourites include 'Magician' by Raymond E Feist, 'The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time' by Mark Haddon and any of the 'Harry Potter' novels by JK Rowling - Yes, I love it.
Ok, slight confession - I don't watch TV. So no favourite movies. If I absolutely had to choose though, I'd say 'The Lion King' or 'Aladdin'. Nothing better than a good coming of age story.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
The beauty of travelling is I've done lots of amazing things. Most recently I went to a Masquerade Ball at Versailles. If you haven't been - do it. Hands down, one of the best travelling experiences I have ever had.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you to catch spiders using nothing but a tupperware container and a piece of paper.
I also did my postgraduate studies in Teaching English. So if your keen for a quick lesson or want to discuss the finer points of English grammar - let me know :).
I'd love to learn about your experiences of school - I know it's not everyones favourite topic - but the differences in schooling around the world is incredible. I find most people have a love/hate relationship with it.
Give me a packet of cards and I'll show you a card trick that will blow your mind.
