Hello! I'm Ed, a Filipino-Brit now living in Manila. I used Couchsurfing when I was at university, and I'm hoping to restart my Couchsurfing life by hosting in Manila and meeting other travellers around the world!

I have worked in the charity sector for the last 5 years and I'm in the middle of a career pivot into singing, acting and modelling in the Philippines. I'm a published researcher in the field of critical disability studies, and I'm a big supporter of human-rights based organisations and international development.

I'm very grateful to have traveled and lived around the world. I grew up mainly in Abu Dhabi with my parents, twin sister and some furry friends; and have also lived in Shanghai and the Hague. I studied International Relations and Development at Sussex, and spent time on study exchanges in Beijing and Hong Kong.

I love my female jazz vocalists and 70s musicians, from Nina Simone to the Carpenters. I'm enjoying reading books by Matt Haig at the moment, and love indie movies from around the world.
