Overview
About Me
I'm a musician and have been doing live performance and studio work for a number of years. I've spent the last few years traveling the states, and I've worked a lot on natural building, growing food, and learning to live off-grid. Currently transitioning to a lifestyle that I hope will foster a little more stability/continuity...see below.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I'm currently trying to relocate to the Knoxville area with my partner and our dog. We drove from the Olympia, WA area to Memphis, and we're staying with my family while we locate jobs and housing in Knoxville. Land is pretty affordable, and we like the proximity to the mountains. That's why we're heading in that direction.
I started looking at the idea of extended stay hotels, so I can be present to do interviews and explore a little bit. This got me to doing a little head scratching, and I thought of maybe doing a bit of couch surfing. I've always liked the concept, and I know folks who have had great experiences while surfing. A few days surfing here, a few there...maybe I can avoid the extended stay business altogether.
Interests
Music-playing, listening, engaging in heated long-winded conversations about it. Natural Building (cob, timber framing, cordwood, rocket stoves, etc). Retro Gaming. Soccer. Sleeping on couches.
