I’m an ex-engineer now working as a freelance / seasonal / part time Outdoor Instructor trying to travel the world as I go...

3 years ago I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, which has been a slight set back at times but has also been a driving force for me to keep doing what I love!

I’m into most outdoor activities but climbing has been a main feature for many years now and has lead me in and out if other activities!

Always keen to hang out with new people and especially if it involves some outdoor activity!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I find hostel life isn’t really for me most of the time and much more excited to meet real locals/local to the area, who I can share experiences and create new friendships with!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I guess it’s quite a personal achievement but I was diagnosed with late onset Type 1 diabetes 3 years ago and for sure I was really worried how it would impact my life, hobbies, passions and work... but although it has of course had an impact and made things some what harder, I’m still here doing what I love and stumbling into ever better opportunities as I go!!

I am an outdoor instructor & coach by trade for various activities but most of all climbing and always keen to introduce new people to the sport and/or help them progress!

I’m always keen to learn new things and how to do them “correctly”. I would especially like to learn Spanish...

I know stuff about things... may you know it already maybe you don’t, but I’m excited to share!!
