About Me

CURRENT MISSION

not to die of hunger in a foreign land

ABOUT ME

Dreamer. Idealist. Fighting thinker, desperately trying to paint life in brighter colors.

Although I'm a bit of 'man of war' when it comes to fight with live troubles, I'd rather say that I'm a very warm person. With that kind of warm you can feel on a chilly summer night when you're getting near to the campfire. Warm and romantic, bit of naive, hopelessly trying to find good side in every person.

But I do like experiencing new things. I'm a searcher who yearn to collect those special moments in our lives.

PHILOSOPHY

fight for happiness

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I've just started my adventure with CS, so I hope it will be a very nice experience and a good way to meet interesting people.

Unfortunately, I can't be a host now, as I'm studying abroad, not having my own apartment, but I'd be happy to help you any time when I'd be back at my place.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

My boyfriend (http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/wiktormarczyk/) has just introduced me to the idea and so here I am, waiting for my first surf/host experience.

Interests

I'd say it's easy to make me become interested in anything, as I enjoy spending time with people just chatting. I'm not a big fan of sports, but if you're gonna talk about it with passion I'd be happy to listen to your story. It is really just the matter of passion.

My personal interests are connected with religion and philosophy. Not to worry, we won't discuss Plato's Allegory of the Cave, to me philosophy is the way you live your life. So I do love stories. I love old legends and tales. And as I'm studying japanology I am interested in Japanese culture. Especially shinto and kotodama. But in fact I put my interest not only into Japan but also into China.

And cooking become my new passion as well, which is very hard while you have a boyfriend who is vegetarian and you, yourself, love meat. I enjoy trying new food, as I love doing 'cooking travel', but I'd say we have a very nice cuisine in my home country as well.

Music, Movies, and Books

Let's see:

Books: I'm a bit embarrassed about that, but I love Harry Potter series. Still waiting for an owl from Hogwarts... But to be serious, I like books that make people think. It's difficult to pick up favourite author, as I don't have one. I love dramas, probably 'Waiting for Godot' is my number one. And poetry. Especially Tadeusz Różewicz and Miron Białoszewski, but I admire Edgar A. Poe's works too.

Music: The Doors, Pink Floyd, Black Sabbath, generally old rock.

Movies: Dzień Świra, Gran Torino, Million Dollar Baby, Fight Club (Helena Bonham Carter <3, Edward Norton <3), but I also like British comedies, just because of the sense of humor and brilliant actors. And Tonari no Totoro, and Spirited Away!
