I love music and am always listening. Personal favorites include: jazz, Malian, Brazilian, American roots & blues and jangly guitar pop.

I read a lot of short stories. Some of my favorite authors: Alice Munro, Margaret Atwood, Zora Neale Hurston, Willa Cather, Adam Gopnik, Samuel Beckett, Barack Obama
