About Me

ABOUT ME

One day I will fill this in properly. It is an odd thing to have to describe yourself :)

PHILOSOPHY

One foot in front of the other, one day at a time.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Mostly hosting but have had a couple of surfing experiences.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Had quite a number of surfers at my place over the years, enjoyed them all! Had a wonderful host in Italy who has inspired me to do more here at home. Hoping to connect with other hosts in Victoria and meet more people here and away.

Interests

Okay, probably a given on this site, but travelling of course! Anything you can do in a pub - darts, pool, tipping a few with good company. A well prepared meal, walking, reading, catching live music and admittedly, I have a seemingly insatiable crossword addiction.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Water, Amelie, LOTR, The Princess Bride, Crash (but not the creepy one with James Spader, lol), Run Lola Run, Star Wars (first run trilogy)
Music: Anything except experimental jazz really :) Dave Matthews, Cake, Sarah Harmer, Wilco, Tom Waits, Ben Harper, Gogol Bordello, Bone Dust Menace and the Essence of Pigdog (yes, seriously! They're fun), Beck, Bob Dylan, Cowboy Junkies, Glen Hansard, Nick Cave, Shooglenifty, Spoon... ok seriously, there's just too many to go on.
Books: LOTR, Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy, The Prophet, Queen of the Tambourine, Berlin Noir, Red Dwarf (yes, the creators wrote a book and it's fab), A Complicated Kindness, The Flying Troutmans and anything by Tom Robbins is always fun - I save those for travelling, you'd be amazed how many times just having one in my hands has started a conversation! :)
