About Me

Born and raised in Belgium but citizen of the world.

Living together with my boyfriend Abhi, who is from Indian origin, our son Otis and our cat Iemke.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Not only to get to know new people, but also their culture, habits, religion, .... There is no better way to understand a country then when staying with a local! Low budget travelling also gave me better experiences then any other way of travelling. I am a curious and adventurous person and in love with super diversity! I've already 'surfed' a lot, but just once trough couchsurfing... The last time was in Morocco, where I stayed with the most beautiful family. We went to discover the country with our host and he became our brother from the heart.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Giving birth to our son Otis!

Working in a psychiatric hospital in Rwanda for 4 months and staying with the best hostingfamily I could ever wish for. An experience that changed my vision on the world and myself.

Overcoming a rare disease - still work in progress - while keeping my head up and turning it into something positive by writing about it and running and NGO about invisible diseases.

Travelling through Ethiopia with my very best friend. A trip that made us true sisters from the heart, so we did it again in Vietnam and Cambodia.

Teach, Learn, Share

Each One Teach One -- Every person we meet in life will teach us more about others, our world and ourselves. Sharing is caring and I always cared a lot! :)

What I Can Share with Hosts

A matress in the babyroom (Otis sleeps with us) or a sofa in the livingroom (you can cuddle with the cat), shared kitchen and bathroom.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cambodia, Croatia, Czech Republic, Ethiopia, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Morocco, Netherlands, Northern Ireland, Portugal, Rwanda, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, Tunisia, United Kingdom, Viet Nam

Countries I’ve Lived In
