ABOUT ME

I'm Emily! I'm a 27-year-old female from the US. I love to laugh and make others laugh. I'm a pretty positive person and I try to live life without regrets. I'm very detail-oriented and organized, but sometimes I like to just throw caution to the wind and do whatever my heart tells me to do! I love to travel alone, but I also enjoy meeting new people on the road, which is why I love couch surfing! I love cooking and baking. I also love crafting--all kinds including sewing, working with paper, painting, etc-- hiking, cycling, photography, yoga, pilates, swimming, music (usually just listening to it, though I did once try my hand at the harmonica), animals of all kinds, and food. I'll eat just about anything--spicy, sour, vegan, meat, you name it! I'm pretty obsessed with cheese and pickles. I'm also pretty versatile, considerate, and flexible--I love going out on the town for a few beers just as much chillin' out at home and reading a book.

I currently live with two roommates and we don't really have a living room, so I don't have a couch to lend, but I am certainly free to meet up!

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

When I travel, I try to couch surf as much as I can so that I can integrate myself in the community that I'm visiting. I want to be more than just someone who crashes at your place; I want to get to know you. I'm fascinated by new people and new experiences. When I travel alone, I'm very independent and totally fine entertaining myself. In other words, I don't expect you to babysit me! That said, if we click, and you want to show me some of the sights, or even just give me some tips and pointers about your town or city, I'd absolutely love that!

As soon as I have my own place, I'm looking forward to hosting couch surfers like crazy!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Even before I found out about this website, I've been an avid couch surfer and hoster with friends and friends-of-friends over the years. Generally the most fun experiences are the ones that involve being spontaneous and just going with the flow.

I'm open to any couch surfing opportunity, as long as you're open, friendly, and understanding, because I am too!

Cheese, beer, cooking, crafting, creating, dogs, cats, squirrels, manatees--all animals, really--music (mostly indie rock, folk, & alternative, though I tend to dig pretty much everything), cooking, swimming, hiking, pilates, yoga, cycling, laughing, silliness, general merriment.
