About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Have you ever wandered around the Eastern Seaboard of the US?

ABOUT ME

Grew up in Vancouver, schooled at University of Waterloo in Ontario, now out and about the world kicking around.

I'm very tall. Don't even worry about it.

PHILOSOPHY

Analytical.

Also, I can get anywhere I want to be.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've hosted a few people informally on various couches, floors in the past, before even realizing what couchsurfing was! I really enjoy being able to welcome strangers to my town and help them explore all that we've got to offer. I think it's great to give people a low-down realistic introduction, something special that you can't get by just passing through as a tourist!

Interests

I enjoy learning about how things work and why they do what they do! This could encompass a whole whack of things, from technology, to biology all they way up to us as a crazy species hanging out on planet earth.

I like reading books and the web as well as thinking up random new ideas, building things, breaking things, solving problems. Love to play ultimate and have been throwing the disc around for many years. Also partake in soccer and skiing, as well as the occasional poker night.

Music, Movies, and Books

Big fan of sci fi, some fantasy, classics. Fun stuff like Orson Scott Card, Asimov, Discworld, Catch-22. Also a fan of Doonesbury and other politcal cartoons. XKCD.

Good movies I've seen: No country for old men, Juno, March of the Penguins (I love penguins), Pi, Delicate Art of Parking, Hot Fuzz. Office Space is a classic, and sadly resonates with me as an engineer. Wes Anderson movies.
