Having been born and lived as an Estonian in a free independent state of Europe, I'm a man who values freedom. Hence comes my liking to cross borders freely and to experience travels. Have been to quite a few European countries, South-Korea and Russia.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to connect to people whilst travelling, and if possible - to help out other travellers.

Interests

I have many interests, ranging from music and martial arts to involvment in NGOs such as the local Pirate Party and those of local communities. Mostly interested in different countries' culture, languages and nature. Used to go to a somewhat prestigious music school - though only for elementary grades. I could possibly play the piano or the guitar. : )

Also, I've been through lots of different uni courses. My grade-school through high-school love as well as my first unfinished BA was in learning philosophy. Didn't see myself working in the field, so left for other pursuits. Also tried studying in the medical faculty, yet that gave the same result. During these studies I took extra courses in psychology and some in computer sciences. But now found myself graduating Law school, trying to focus on specific European issues, like copyright law, issues pertaining to the internet and human rights, as well as trying to learn about Asia (as another personal interest of mine) and the languages, cultures and legal systems thereof. I've worked as a paralegal for about a year now.

Music, Movies, and Books

Lots of different music. Some (fairly obscure) favorites include King Crimson, Opeth, Azealia Banks, Susumu Hirasawa, Shostakovich, Syrinx.

As for movies and series, I really enjoy animated ones. Ghost in the Shell (1995), Neon Genesis Evangelion, Paranoia Agent, FLCL et al et cetera.

As for books, recent fiction I've enjoyed includes novels by Neil Gaiman, Cormac McCarthy, Haruki Murakami, also light novels and manga/manhwa from Korea and Japan.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

In 2013 I sailed the Baltic Sea on tallship Fryderyk Chopin as a crew member, going from Szczecin, Poland to Bergen, Norway.
