ABOUT ME

I am a man, 62 years old, a Finn, in search for my soul, my culture, my roots, me in the continuum, in the web of time and changes. Lover of music - that uplifts my spirit, touches and moves me. Play some guitar and sing and teach traditional Karelian and Finnish runo-singing of the Kalevala. I have studied media, music theatre and voicework. Love to walk in the forests, go to sauna, swim in the lakes, travel. I live in Joensuu, near the University, only about 15 minute walk to the forest and 30 minutes to the beach.

PHILOSOPHY

Awareness - what is trying to happen - there is something in the universe that is trying to get to know itself through using mirrors, that is why we need each other - following that magical mystery tour. Trying to keep myself and my belief systems out of the flow of natural changes.

我做过的一件不可思议的事情

Between 2010-2012 I was leading a training in Finnish folklore in an Educational Center. There were more than 50 teahers - teaching how to work with bronze, iron, wool, wood, amber, birch-bark etc - also traditional healing, art, dance and singing. The year was whirled round the annual celebrations, like Kekri, the ancient new year. Students learned about the origins of Finnish language, the ancient worldview and way of life.

Can teach rune-singing and tell about Finnish traditions, mythology and language. And how to empower oneself with that knowledge. Love to get to know other old traditions - especially in traditional music and dances, folk healing, mythology, hand-crafts, symbolism, etymology, sacred places and archaelogical findings.
