* ABOUT ME *

Hey everyone! My name is Eetu and living currently in Lohja, Finland.
I'm very open minded and laid back person with warm heart.
I currently work for scaffolding company in Finland, but i'm currently looking what to do with my life. I need change, thats the reason i'm travelling much as i can.

I received my passion to travelling in 2013 when i decided to travel to United States alone. Many years ago i met an American guy thro online game that i had tons of good time with. In 2013 i talked with him that i've always wanted to visit America but had no real reason to go there. It didnt take long till he told me that i could stay in his house if i'd come to Columbus, Ohio. After few minutes of thinking & calling my boss, i booked the flights and off i was to America! My very first trip abroad alone.

I stayed at his house for a week and half, we had tons of fun and i was suprised by his warm welcoming! We had many good nights talking to each other while drinking good beers! Eventually i found out he was complete beer geek and turned me into one! I was sad to return back cold & dark Finland but i never forget him, i visited him again the next year!

That was my first stepping point to love travelling, ever since i've had this mission to visit few new country each year.

Sadly i'm quite much tied to my busy work schedule atm but i try to keep travelling! (it annoys me when you actually have to earn a bit of money to keep travelling every year :P)

My latest trip was to Japan for 2 weeks with my Finnish friend. We visited most of Southern Japan and met many great new friends and fell in love to that exciting Japanese traditions and culture, even bought myself a Kimono.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

American friend (Douglas Johnson) introduced me to CS community.
Being with locals is always better way to learn about the country and culture.

I'm interested making new lifetime friends and exchanging cultures experiences!

I dont have real favourite movie, but i like scifi based movies, especially everything related to spaceships and explosions with good effects and some humor!

I pretty much read about the countries i'm about to visit and try to do research what to expect and respect their traditions.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Jumping off an airplane for first time!

When i was on my second trip in Columbus, Ohio. Me and Adam decided to travel to Michigan state to meet one other guy from the online game who turned out to be instructor for skydiving! We ended up jumping off a plane with tandem partner. Afterwards we stayed with the skydiving family, having great conversations, drinking beer and barbecue! I woke up in a couch at airport field!

Joined Mongol Rally 2019 and had an amazing adventure in a crap little car with 5 people over 23000km.
