ABOUT ME

My favorite thing to do is thrift shop, I'm a sucker for souvenirs and I love to go to historical sights to learn, stare, and be wowed. I travel a lot, I read a lot and I love to sing. I'm relaxed, but easily excitable. I enjoy sitting down with a few people and having a good conversation over some drinks, but I also love to go out dancing (sometimes). I like a lot of things, and can have a good time with everybody.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've never couchsurfed before, and never hosted one either because I've never been in the position to do it because of roommates' preferences and space. But, I'm open to it, of course!

Interests

I'm interested in a little bit everything, I think. I have experience with a lot of things, but I'm an expert in nothing, which is both a blessing and a curse. I think my main interest is people, whether that's a person I meet on the street, my best friend, a character in a book, or a historical figure. I mostly like to learn things, teach things, and be around people.

Music, Movies, and Books

I love way too many books to name. Right now, I'm going through a Murakami phase that I hope never ends. But, I love poetry. I love Postmodern fiction, zombie stuff, classics, fairytales and folklore, gothic lit, etc. My favorite television usually comes back to HBO's Girls, True Blood (I know, I know...), Arrested Development, Twin Peaks....I could go on, but I think that's enough. I also like a ton of movies, just like everyone else. I love old, terrible horror films. I also love new horror films. There's just something exhilarating about being freaked out! I also really like watching documentaries, and one of my favorite things is Human Planet. I also think Stanley Kubrick is awesome. My favorite movie in the entire world is Wizard of Oz. I just saw Moonrise Kingdom for the first time and was blown away! SO GOOD.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been to 16 countries, which may not seem like many...but I'm pretty proud of that. I was also in a band at home which opened for a few big names, so that was pretty cool.
