About Me

CURRENT MISSION
living as a work of art. I just started an MFA program in Art & Social Practice in Portland after 4 years of living in rural southern Oregon. I'm passionate about rural economies and sustainability and cultural change. I'm a performer and theatre-maker. I'm endlessly curious and out to explore.

ABOUT ME

i'm 28 years old, but it's a passing phase. i studied linguistics and anthropology and performance, but had a turnaround and decided that planting, farming, and collective living on the land is my radical path. now i'm back to school to learn about sustainable development for small towns.

hm...i'm not too hung up on identity categories but i do appreciate and practice good respect & consent. i love to dance, make music, fuck with gender, and communicate through gesture instead of speech sometimes...i also like to go on adventures, go exploring, take risks, read books, make up plays and stories, build playgrounds of ideas. i think that life is as you perceive it, so i try to be optimistic. i am at war against commercialism, capitalistic exploitation, numbness/human robots, and discrimination. i am fighting this war with love and glitter. i have a lot to learn from this world since i haven't seen much of it yet.

that's one perspective; check out the references from people who've actually met me.
i would love to meet you!

PHILOSOPHY

life as a work of art.

Music, Movies, and Books

"if on a winter's night a traveler" by italo calvino. tom spanbauer. lots of others.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

as we were flying, standing in the bed of a pickup truck veering down the bumpy roads of são jorge, brazil, a huge castle of clouds loomed up in front of us. sure it was a mountain, we hoped that the psytrance festival we were heading to was located on the top of this sparking mountain. and only as it began to disintegrate into rain did we realize it was clouds; we flew anyway.

Teach, Learn, Share

I play the accordion and the piano. I could give a lecture on contemporary performance art or facilitate a conversation. I love games and I know lots!

i like discussing the internet, culture, sexual consent, gender, desire, creating rituals, making bread and fermented stuff, language, political organizing, anarchy, dreams, and most anything. passion is interesting.
i also make stencils and great lentil stew.
interested in learning more about herbal medicine & wildcrafting (local plants), trees and birdcalls, playing the harmonica better.
if you have thoughts on stories, personal mythmaking and ritual, that's been on my mind a lot recently.
