About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To finally start playing grown-up.
ABOUT ME
I make great faces. I have a very loud laugh - one that you can identify in a crowd of laughter. I take a little time to warm up, but when I do, I am very genuine and honest. Once you get me talking, it's difficult to make me stop. I am open - to experiences, to people, to life. I like to make things happen.
PHILOSOPHY
Simplify Simplify Simplify. And live every day as genuinely as possible (meaning be here, now, and be honest about here and now with yourself and everyone around you).
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've still never used couchsurfing, although I want to. Technically, I did this summer on a road trip from Austin to Berkeley - but we used other means of contacting people other than this website. Friends of friends of friends.
But many people found the co-op that I lived in in Austin, Texas through couchsurfing. And I met some really cool people that way.
Interests
I LOVE traveling. If I could deal with the uncertainty of money, I would always be on the road (or in the air). I've read the equivalent of a small town library. Music. Bicycles. Camping. Hiking. Fire. Cooking. Coffee. Pizza. SEC Football. Learning about things that I've never heard of or thought about.

Music, Movies, and Books
I always make this list and then come back and look at it wondering wtf I was reading/listening to/watching. So I will simply put the one book that has been on every single one of those lists since I read it 5 years ago:
Siddhartha.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Hot springs in Taos, New Mexico late at night. In between two mountains right on the Rio Grande - more stars than Abraham could count.
Tree house in Berkeley, California on a rainy Monday with my roadtrip buddies, new friends, a guitar, and a few bottles of wine.
Stonehenge. 'nough said.
Teach, Learn, Share
Editing/Writing (especially for college paper kind of purposes).
Finances - I'm really good with money, and living on VERY little of it.
Writing a resume.
Time management.
(ok, I feel like I'm a 45 year old business woman now...)
