About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Traveling around the world. Writing.

ABOUT ME

I am originally from Kuopio, Finland. I have also lived three years in Worcester, England where I have been studying theatre studies. I also studied at the university of Tampere where I did my masters degree. I live in Tampere, Finland. I enjoy writing, meeting new people and get to now them. I also do zen-meditation practice, which gives me an insight into life and reminds me of the things that matter.
At the moment I am traveling around the world. I went to Indonesia, then to Vietnam and soon I will be in Japan.
I like to spend time with my friends and cook with them for instance. I also enjoy writing and I have written a few plays and currently I am writing a traveling journal. I have always been interested in philosophy and engaging in challenging situations where i can learn more about life in general.
I have been wanting to gain experience about life in general in order to get a comprehensive view of what it means to be a human. I must confess that I haven't been able to understand the meaning of life fully, but I think life is wonderful as long as you take it the right way, not stressing about the little things, but concentrating on the big picture. It is of course about enjoying about the little things such as a nice day out, beautiful flower or a good weather, which are of course at the same time as they are "little", very big also.
So this is me as well as I can shortly describe myself. I would very much get to know people trough couchsurfing and so far it has been a good experience for me to be here.

PHILOSOPHY

I believe that one needs to have aspirations and goals in life and bravely go towards to goals even though there is never any guarantee of success.
Also I think every single day is a blessing on this earth and we only live once so every single moment in our lives should be appreciated.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I wish to be participating with couchsrufing as much as I can in the near future.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I was in Japan in Tokyo and Kyoto with a few friends. I have hosted 4 people in Tampere, Finland and all of them were fantastic people.
I was also Couchsurfing in northern Finland. The latest Couchsurfing experience was in Lombok, Indonesia. It was truly wonderful to get to know local people through couch surfing.
I was also Couchsurfing in Nepal, which was definitely a memorable experience.
All of these people have been so friendly and I will be forever greatful of that.

Interests

At the moment I am traveling around the world and I don't have many hobbies, but when I get a chance I go jogging, do meditation or play chess.
I love cooking and inviting my friends for dinner parties.
I am also writing plays and novels.
I do a lot of zen meditation practice which gives me an insight to the world and makes life more meaningful for me and hopefully in the process also for others.

I don't have a favourite book, but I like for instance Haruki Murakami and August Strindberg.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I am not able so what is the most amazing thing I have done. Maybe the fact that I was born is quite amazing already.
Of course on thing that comes to my mind is the fact that I have traveled a lot and I have ran a marathon.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think everybody can be learned from if you keep an open-mind. I have seen in Asia, that I have learnt something about Asian culture nearly everyday and thus I have learnt something about life in general. This can happen in the most unexpected situations as long as you keep you mid open and listen people. If you are humble and also tell something about yourself anyone can give you a new perspective on life everyday.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I want to share my life story and things that I have done in my life. Of course I want to share a coffee or any other things.
