About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Learn, learn, learn, and share what I learn

ABOUT ME

I am compassionate, curious, fun and occasionally funny. Although capable of planning, I am much better at spontaneity than routine. I enjoy helping others and sharing my positive outlook.

PHILOSOPHY

I think outside the box and try to understand what's at the root of current social problems. I question much of the current paradigm and strive to see our common humanity.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
Please note: We are full from May through the end of August 2015.

I would like to host and to surf.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Surfed in Canada, and along the east coast. Hosted in Concord, MA.

Seems wonderful; I am looking forward to it!

Interests

I love teaching kids and teens and learning from their fresh perspectives. Elementary-aged kids not only accept my imaginative play, but they play right along without skipping a beat and add much hilarity to the experience. Also, on a more practical level, classroom management is a breeze when an adorable four-inch finger puppet named Gus does the talking. Hiking, yoga, meditating, reading and green smoothies make me happy. I love road trips, camping on a soft surface, and traveling, especially getting to know everyday life in a region.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

*Just being outside and taking it all in-the sky, trees, mountains, the ocean- leaves me awestruck. I can relate to the double rainbow experience and might be naive, but can believe the guy was sober.
*Going outside in the middle of the night during a wind storm in the Badlands swept me away!
*I am moved and inspired each time I hear a story of people reaching out to others.

It's amazing how little of our world I've seen, though I've travelled fairly regularly...(though not by CS standards)
