À propos de moi

Hi all!

My name is Ege and I am a M.Sc. student currently living in Erlangen, Germany (right after 01.10.2019). I have graduated from Bilkent University, Ankara, Turkey. I live in a small single-room apartment, thus I cannot host each and every day (I might have exams or some other errands and I might not be able to spare enough time for you), however, I recommend that you apply and let us see what we can do.

Since high school, I am playing drums and I have a nice drumkit back in Turkey.

Also, I really like cooking (and afterward eating...).

Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing

I think that hosting people and being hosted by a local person is an incredible touch to a touristic visit. Most of the time, if I travel alone and if I stay at a ho(s)tel I often do not feel connected enough. Hanging around with a local definitely enhances the experience, as this allows you to see the hidden gems (culinary, scenery, activity-wise).

On the other side, being a host allows you to learn about things that you did not know that they exist.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres

I mostly adore pieces from:

books and literature:
Dan Brown
Jean Christophe Grangé
Tess Gerritsen

(though I can confess, last few years unfortunately past all reading for work/education and no reading for fun :/)

music:

What I fancy highly depends on my mood, though the timeless classics for me are:

Dire Straits: Telegraph Road, Sultans of Swing, Brothers in Arms, Where do you think you're going
Dream Theater: The entire Metropolis pt.2 album
Pink Floyd: Time, Another Brick in the Wall (parts 1 and 2 especially)
Novembre: Nostalgiaplatz
There are also a few Turkish pieces, host me / stay at my place to learn about them :)

Recently, I loved these pieces and I want to find more of them:
KADEBOSTANY: Castle in the Snow
Raving George ft. Oscar and the Wolf: You're Mine
Duke Dumont: Ocean Drive
Ajda Pekkan: Sana Dogru

movies:

The Sixth Sense
Analyze This & Analyze That
Sausage Party
Ice Age (admit, we all have a childish side...)
Shrek

tv-shows:

Rick and Morty, South Park, Simpsons, Family Guy (even the episodes in which one mocks the other(s))
Breaking Bad (finished pretty decently, eh?)
Better Call Saul
24
Narcos

In progress of deterioriation:
La Casa de Papel

Blacklisted:
Game of Thrones (season 8......)

Une aventure extraordinaire que j'ai vécue

I have recklessly studied for four (not including the admission process) years to obtain a single piece of paper called diploma.

I think surviving 22 years of the 'Turkish simulation' is also amazing.
