Hi! I’m Ege (like reggae without the r), originally from Turkey but moved to the US as a kid.

I’m outgoing, adventurous, and love meeting people! I studied Art History and Philosophy and have a passion for languages.

I enjoy rock climbing, cooking, long walks, and making meaningful connections. I recently worked with an NGO building schools in developing countries.

Currently, I’m solo-backpacking through the Balkans and Western Europe, with plans to head East to India, Southeast Asia, and Australia.

I’ve lived in 4 countries, traveled to ~40, and spent all of 2023 on the road, mostly in Central America for work. Regular hitchhiker, love visiting non-touristy local spots especially places where young people and students hang out!

Favorite food: Turkish eggplants (İmam bayıldı) or pizza!

Volunteering at a hostel on a lake in Guatemala surrounded by 3 volcanoes and going sunrise standup paddle boarding, hiking around the volcanoes, visiting little towns by boat and overall having the best month of my life!

Stargazing in Senegal, Nepal and California (all have amazing spots with no light pollution and the best night sky possible!).

I can cook many Italian dishes as well as Mexican, Turkish and a fusion of other cuisines! Can make a gooood, authentic Carbonara.
Studied philosophy and art history, can talk about either of those for hours!
