About Me

ABOUT ME

I love swimming, walking, being in nature, the wild plant life . After leaving a science career and living on the beautiful island of Mull in Scotland, I finished an art degree in Dundee. My work is focused on plants and the soil and being in the landscape - how we can understand the natural world through experiential learning.

PHILOSOPHY

Each experience is a lesson that teaches me more about myself. In each person I see something of myself. I'm continually evolving and growing with each new experience/adventure I set myself, or find myself in.

We are all changed by even the small experiences we share together.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

In travelling I've found each person I meet has something to teach me and I them. This has turned into an amazing information exchange with uncanny synchronicity - giving and receiving the right words/information just when it is needed!

For many years my focus has been on my immediate world around me and I haven't wanted to travel. That is beginning to change again and I am hoping to find places where I can have artist residencies and start exploring and travelling again.

Interests

Living lightly on the land. Communities. Eco-buildings. Self-sufficiency. Singing and dancing together. Laughing. Wisdom. Silence, stillness, peace, time alone. And yet despite a joy in simplicity I also like comfort, quality, luxury - things done beautifully and thoughtfully.
