About Me
"But no matter, the road is life" -Kerouac
Some things I love: making and listening to music (folk and indie but also house, psy-trance, techno), backpacking, the Beat Generation (esp Ginsberg), hearing people's stories, the Pacific Northwest (I'm from Tacoma, WA), psychology, abandoned spaces/ urban exploration, the little infinities of life, poetry, forests!
This is my first time on Couchsurfing! :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music-wise, I love Fleet Foxes, Dr. Dog, Real Estate, Beach House, Amen Dunes, Adrienne Lenker, The Beatles, and so many more! -- If you know any good indie folk or dream pop, I love getting recommendations!
Movie-wise, I love pretty much most independent films released by Magnolia Pictures/A24/etc. or those featured in Sundance/Tribeca/Toronto/Cannes film festivals. I also love documentaries!
Book-wise, I love anything by the Beat Generation authors, but especially Allen Ginsberg's poetry, speeches, etc. I love reading about psychedelics through lenses of history, psychology, or otherwise. Walt Whitman and Jack Kerouac are amazing. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest by Ken Kesey and Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse are two of my favorite books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I climbed one of the tallest Sequoia trees in Berkeley, CA while spending some time at a co-op there. At the very top of the tree, I stood up straight and felt like I was flying over the entire city.
Teach, Learn, Share
I think most people have some sort of life-philosophy or something they believe about the world. I'd love to learn what that is for others! Everyone's experiences lead to them seeing the world a certain way; I love seeing what and how people think. Ideas make the world go round :)
