About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Working on moving to New York City!
ABOUT ME
I love traveling and meeting new people. I get restless if I stay in one place for too long.
I was born in Southern California, moved to Illinois, moved to Texas and then for most of my childhood I lived in Saudi Arabia.
I went to a boarding school in Southern California and then I went to the University of Texas at Austin. I studied Urban Development and English. I recently returned from teaching English to middle and high school students just outside of Bangkok, Thailand.
I love reading, writing, music, the outdoors, etc. etc.
PHILOSOPHY
In short, I want to be happy and never get too comfortable. I like having new experiences, being challenged, and learning about myself and other people and places.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have hosted Couch Surfers in the past, and since I'm in limbo right now in terms of getting settled in a place of my own, I hope to surf around, meet tons of amazing people, and soon enough I'd like to host guests!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I had hosted couch surfers with my amazing roommates in Austin, TX my senior year of college (2010 - 2011). Since then I've lived in Houston and Bangkok, Thailand. I've traveled around SE Asia meeting tons of couch surfers and I knew it was about time to get more involved in the CS community. Right now I'm in limbo of getting settled and as soon as I do I want to host travelers!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
1. Glacier hiking on Fox Glacier with my entire family in New Zealand. We woke up as the sun was rising in winter time in NZ. We were staying at a B&B from which we could see the glacier from the bedroom window. We took a helicopter up to the glacier and hiked all morning in the crisp clear New Zealand air.
2. In India at the Sai Baba Ashram, my Grandparents, my mother and I stayed to see Sai Baba and attended one of his Bhajan sessions. There were people from all over the world. Just outside the Ashram gates was the bustling, unapologetic India that I have come to know, but the within the Ashram it was unbelievably serene and peaceful. It was an amazing study in contrast.
3. Pai, Thailand. Really, that city in itself left me awestruck. Hiking through the mountains at dusk was breathtakingly beautiful.
