About Me
CURRENT MISSION
To experience the world before I have to grow up
ABOUT ME
I graduated from the University of Wisconsin last May and am taking a gap year from my studies. Eventually, I want to go to medical school to become a psychiatrist. I am currently working as an English language teaching assistant in a lycée in Sablé sur Sarthe, France. I absolutely love working with students, and feel so fortunate to have the opportunity to learn about their culture as well.
I am pretty shy upon first meeting me, but I am a very laid back person and love meeting new people.
PHILOSOPHY
Your life is what you make of it--and Henri Matisse says it best, "il y a des fleurs partout pour qui veut bien les voir."
Interests
I absolutely adore (in no particular order) music, traveling, dancing, French, laughing, tennis, being outdoors, singing, reading, psychology, spending time with friends, and learning.

Music, Movies, and Books
I am very passionate about music. I love to listen to music and doing so can always manage to make the darkest of days a little brighter. I pretty much listen to all types of music except intense rap and hard metal music.
Being that it hasn't even been a year since I graduated, and that I hope to return back to school shortly, I have spent my recent time reading a lot of "guilty pleasure" books. I'm loving every second of it!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
One amazing experience I had occurred in Venice, Italy. I was studying abroad in Florence, but my program had traveled to Venice for the weekend. We were given a private night-time tour of St. Mark's Basilica. They illuminated all of the lights in the entire cathedral allowing us to see all of the golden ceilings, while the Opera students in the program sang. It was a marvelous sight to take in while listening to the beautiful music resonate throughout the building. I feel so lucky to have had this special opportunity that very few people will experience.
