Hola fellow travelers! I am a Finnish native. I have lived most of my life in Helsinki, although at the moment I am living in Uruguay. I had a few years in London, Chicago and the Hague. I am a keen traveller, I like meeting people from all over the world. I have been to around 50 countries and I want to see them all!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

We are embarking on a new adventure: around the world in 120 days. The best way to get to know a culture is to connect with the locals, and that's what I would like to achieve with couchsurfing!

Interests

I love wine, so a lot of our trips are destined to wine countries. Also good food is important to me. My other hobbies include music, choir, knitting, skiing and cycling. I used to be a whizz at billiards, but I might be a bit rusty now.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My husband and I moved from Finland to Uruguay last year. It's a big adventure and we love it here. We did not have anything waiting for us here, no job, no home, no friends or family. Just an understanding that the country is a good one to live in. And we were right!

1. tandemcycling around Malborough wine area in New Zealand
2. motorcycling from London to Spa for the Formula 1 GP
3. visiting Iguazu Falls in Argentina
4. driving highway 1 in California from Los Angeles to San Francisco
5. Patagonian train from San Antonio to Bariloche, Argentina
