Overview
About Me
I make an effort to not talk about myself too much, but I love sharing stories and experiences and delving deep into a variety of topics. I wouldn't call it 'being secretive', rather I'm kind of melancholic, with occasional outbursts of playful hysteria.
It might have been better to leave this space blank.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Because meeting new people is the most exciting thing I know. But also there's the fact that I'm away from my home country and looking for a job with no permanent residence. It's mostly the first thing, though.
Interests
Performing arts and music specifically are my greatest passion. Aside from that I have been involved in a few human rights initiatives and have very strong opinions on equality.

Music, Movies, and Books
Pop punk, new wave, math rock, most flavors of electronic music, and all eras of rap; my favorite book is "Great Expectations", but I also enjoy classic sci-fi novels and anything else that makes me feel really really bad.
My favorite director is Akira Kurosawa, followed by Stanley Kubrick, Martin Scorsese, Sam Peckinpah, Hideaki Anno, and Edgar Wright. Too much to mention, really, but the movies that have had the biggest impact on me so far are the original 1971 "Straw Dogs" and Hirokazu Koreeda's "Air Doll" .
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I'm a millennial that made it to 26.
I've also seen dozens of people transcend their environment and their shortcomings to support and nurture a community they think is worth fighting for.
A photo of me dressed as a samurai apparently made its way to a Japanese billboard.
Teach, Learn, Share
I've worked as a freelance English teacher for about a decade, but my deafening boredom and constant existential dread have allowed me to also pick up a ton of very useful and completely unusable knowledge alike.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Polite and respectful company, abstract conversations, and a very awkward, dry sense of humor. Also, I'd be more than happy to help with whatever everyday tasks you might need.
