ABOUT ME

I'm a high school teacher, and I love my job! Working with teenagers is great, and teaching them about other cultures is very rewarding. I teach both French and AP Art History. Like everyone on this site, I'm passionate about traveling and love going to new places, seeing new things, and meeting new people. I live in Fort Collins, CO, with my husband and rescue dog but I am from a college town in western Wisconsin where my mom and dad still live. My younger sister lives in Phoenix, Arizona.

Interessi

Music, music, MUSIC!!! I enjoy playing my guitar, but I'm mainly limited to 3-chord songs, unfortunately. I go to a ridiculous number of concerts, could talk about music for days on end, and if the conversation is rock-specific, then even longer!

I also enjoy volunteering, and I have participated in Big Brother Big Sister since 2005. In 2008 I volunteered for the Obama campaign.

I love being active!--I'm a runner, and I love running/biking/walking/hiking when I travel too. I'm used to be a regular a yoga instructor (now I just sub), and I mainly practice Power Vinyasa. Love it!

#1: Backpacking western Europe with my best friend for 2.5 weeks in the summer of 2006.

#2: Iguana hunting (just to catch, not to kill) in Belize when I was in high school.

#3: Fishing for pirhanas with raw meat on the Amazon river in Peru.

#4: Doing a zip-line in the Andes of Ecuador.

#5: Jumping off waterfalls, whitewater rafting and surfing in the Dominican.
