About Me

I really love languages and other countries. Since I am currently stuyding translation studies, I'm always looking forward to meeting new people and new aspects of different cultures. If I had more money I would probably barely stay at home, but travel around the world :)

If I'm in a new city, I love to check out their local street food or hidden places.
I would call myself a rather relaxed and calm person, although I like to to spontaneous things and explore. And currently I do spend a lot of time on my computer, more than I would actually admit :D

Also I'm a huge fan of festivals, I just love the atmosphere.

Interests

I really enjoyed reading books by Derek Landy and Dan Brown, Thomas Harris is also one of my favorite authors.

I admit that I spend a lot of time on my computer, usually playing one of my favorite games "Binding of Isaac" (If you by any chance are familiar with that) or watching streams. I used to dance quite regularly, but unfortunately I had to quit because I was lacking a partner, I still love it though.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies:

V for Vendetta
Inglorious Basterds
Django Unchained
Fight Club
The Dark Knight trilogy
Most of the Marvel universe

Books:
The Silence of the Lambs trilogy
Skulduggery Pleasant series
Robert Langdon series (e.g The Da Vinci Code)

Music:
I wouldn't usually put on a playlist of mine, since most people aren't that comfortable with the music I listen to.
But I'm very open-minded to whatever you want to listen to and I am able to enjoy it as much as you (at least I hope so :) )
Here are a few bands I enjoy listening to:

Die Antwoord
Death Grips
Royal Republic
BRADIO
Marilyn Manson
Fiddlers Green
Volbeat
Tenacious D
ITCHY
Mindless Self Indulgence
Dropkick Murphys
(Basically just listed a few things I've listened to recently)

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

There are a few things I really enjoyed

I once met a middleaged, slighty overweight man in a fairy costume, running around on a festival and giving away free hugs (very tempting I know). It was so great to watch, since this man - after the festival- probably went back to his office job. It just shows how amazing festivals are, allowing you to do whatever the f you want to do, and people will accept it.

When I went to Brussels to meet a friend, we went to a local pub that sold over 400 different types of gin. We chatted with the bartender and he was just such great person (he even gave us several drinks for free). Needless to be said, I still remember things about him, but the aftermath of that evening was not as pleasant as the evening itself :)

Teach, Learn, Share

Sharing is caring- or something like that. It is so amazing to see how many open minded people there are on this world. If you go to a hostel and go to breakfast, you suddenly start chatting with complete strangers and spend the day with them in the city.
I met a girl in London and after we explored the city together, we still stayed in contact. I want to meet new people like that, exchanging knowledge and perhaps learning something about another language or culture.

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Denmark, England, Greece, Japan, Netherlands, Spain, United States
