About Me

I'm very open hearted, flexible and a quite easy going guy from a little Island in Germany.
I enjoy getting to know people to learn from each other or to just have an amazing time with a beer and a story or two :)

After finishing an apprenticeship as a banker, I realized that life in an office is not quite what I want so I decided to travel instead and I am now making my way into the never boring unknown.

While traveling for 6 months so far, I discovered hiking as a big passion. I love being in the outdoors and I experienced that a lot of beautiful places can only be discovered with some effort and are therefore sooo rewarding! My heart is definitely one of an explorer.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am on Couchsurfing to discover life and views of life from people in a country that I visit. To get some local insights and most importantly to get to know the people of wherever I am.

Music, Movies, and Books

I listen passionately to a lot of music, and I'm always up for some recommendations of songs and bands! I really appreciate lots of different types of music and I'm always stoked if an artist manages to touch people with their music in any way.
Favourite bands amongst many are: Paramore, SEEED, ADTR, Silverstein, Heisskalt, Madsen, Oh Wonder, Fabian Römer.

Reading is probably my favorite way to dive into another world if I want to, whatever that world looks like.
Books are a great way of getting inspirations and insights in any kind of way for whatever topic in the world. Also reading improved my English so so much, learning a new language it really helps a lot.
I am definitely a fan of actual books more than of kindles etc. although I experienced they can get quite heavy after a while of traveling.
Some favorite books are: Into the wild, tracks, Harry Potter, tuesdays with morrie, the beach

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Living in a tent in Byron Bay, Australia for over 3 months was quite an amazing experience for me. How you can live with only the most basic of things plus sharing a little piece of land with many other people changed my view of life in a crazy way.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach you how to catch a wave if we get the chance, about german culture and how to speak german (maybe we take a while for that though 😄)...
Sharing a talk or an interest is always teaching and learning I think. You've got to go a little deeper than just the surface, but than you can always pick something up when talking to people I think. And probably also when you talk to me!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A beer, a talk, a meal, or else?
