About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Make the most of everything!

ABOUT ME

A bit difficult to describe myself in a textbox this small, but here we go. I enjoy life, I feel blessed to have a great family and many friends, to be in good health, to have a job I enjoy, and, last but not least (especially for those who want to visit Antwerp): a nice place to live.

PHILOSOPHY

Be positive

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I'd like to offer a helping hand wherever / whenever I can.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

Not much, I spend time couchsurfing in Manila. Now I hope to return the favour to travellers in my country :)

Interests

I'm not the party animal but I very much enjoy to be around people.

I'm interested in reading non-fiction, such as psychology and economics.

I have a job where I sit all day, so I try to be active whenever I can. I practice kyukushin (a form of karate), jogging and crossfit.

Furthermore I do love watching a good movie, play a game of chess, or cook for guests.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: funk, electro, pop, rock... CD's I've played in the last 24 hours: Fats Domino, Chromeo, Felix da Housecat

Movies: The Godfather, Reservoir Dogs, No Country for Old Men, Crash, Amores Perros, Un prophete

Books: I'm not into anything obscure, but I really enjoyed reading "Satan: His Psychotherapy and Cure by the unfortunate Dr. Kassler".

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

To witness a wrestling game in Mexico was great; while the wrestlers were obviously acting inside and outside the ring, the public were having a (verbal) fight of their own, shouting and singing abusive comments at each other - it was all for fun, nobody took it seriously ;)

The bunjee jump at Versasca Dam in Switzerland was another great experience. I'm glad I've done it but have to admit that it was scary as hell.

The banya in Russia and all that came with it: massage, ice cold outside bath and drinks.

Teach, Learn, Share

I enjoy meeting people who have overcome life's challenges and who remain positive. I appreciate honest people who have an open mind, who do not reject others because of a different opinion.

Countries I’ve Visited

France, Germany, Luxembourg, Netherlands, Philippines, United Kingdom

Countries I’ve Lived In

Belgium, China, Mexico, Russian Federation, United Kingdom
