About Me
Hi! I'm Eileen! I'm a multi-passionate extroverted eternal optimist. I love to travel, try new foods, read all the books, meet new people, cook, garden, and generally have a goofy good time! (and yes I'm aware of my overly generous use of exclamation marks, lol)
I grew up in the mountain town of Canmore and caught the travel bug early in life on a trip to Mexico with my family. I now call Calgary home with my partner Greg and I recently left a career in midwifery to build a business as a life coach and an energy healer. This new career path means that we are able to travel a whole lot more as both of us can work remotely and I am loving the freedom this affords.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love to meet new people everywhere I go! Currently calling Buenos Aires home for a few months with my partner. Would love to make some friends while we’re here!

Music, Movies, and Books
I'm pretty terrible at choosing favourites (just ask Greg Elsewhere)... but let's do this.
Music: Boy Golden, Metric, The Milk Carton Kids, Taylor Swift, Arcade Fire, Daft Punk, Joni Mitchell, The Bird and the Bee, Billie Eilish, Sylvan Esso... the list goes on...
Movies: Ever After, Dirty Dancing, Ferris Buller's Day Off, Little Women, Blade Runner (both!), Lord of the Rings trilogy, probably a bunch more!
Books..... how long do you have? Deerskin, Dune, The Flowering Wand, All the Light We Cannot See, A Fine Balance, White Teeth, this list is seriously WAY too long to put in here. Ask me :)
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Perhaps my most memorable travel experience was doing a semester of University in Pondicherry, India during my first degree. It was an amazing experience for me!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm always keen to learn about foods and traditions around the world as well as bits of the local language wherever I happen to be.
I speak English and am happy to help others with that! If you need help with plants or sourdough bread, I'm a pretty good resource there as well, lol!
