About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Meeting new interesting people from all over the world.
ABOUT ME
After traveling around Europe for a bit, I decided it was time to live and work in several countries and learn about different cultures. I'm always studying something, since I always find something new I find interesting too. My parents were both not from the country I was born in, so I guess it's in my blood to travel. I love meeting new people and learning about different cultures. But I don't like chocolate or wasps, and definitely not chocolate wasps! If that is part of your culture, then please keep it to yourself!
PHILOSOPHY
Life is quite pointless, so you might as well have fun while you're living it.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I meet, party, drink and sometimes host.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Experience with hosting, meetings and hang outs. Would like to surf as well but it's not happened yet since I usually travel too last minute to find a host in time. :)
Interests
Traveling, reading, learning, culture, history, meeting old and new friends and fun. Oh and food, definitely trying different kinds of cuisine is high on my list. (beer is good too, vodka is better)

Music, Movies, and Books
Edgar Allen Poe, H.P. Lovecraft, Oscar Wilde, Charles Dickens, some Shakespeare (but not al) Raymond E. Feist, Terry Pratchett and so on. The picture of Dorian Gray is my all time favourite book but The cask of Amontillado is my favourite story.
Goodfellas, Casino, Shawshank Redemptio, Boondock Saints, Schindlers List, anything with Bruce Campbell, most scifi and much more. And bad bad bad horror is never wasted on me either.
Music differs from time to time, but mostly old style blues, metal and soul. I am more about the lyrics admittedly.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I have seen a lot of things, but the squirrel in London was probably the most fun, accidentally punching a pigeon was just odd. And accidental, honestly! Also he started it.
Accidental fun:
Getting lost in Budapest and walking into somebodies living room thinking it was a restaurant, it wasn’t, officially, they fed me anyway and pointed me in the right direction.
Getting lost in Krakow and finding a beautiful forest with all kinds of hidden pretty things to see.
Getting lost in Riga and finding a great cocktail place with great food.
Getting lost in the Netherlands, missing the train and making new friends who invited me to a great party.
Getting lost in Edinburgh and what started out as a one woman pub crawl (the one woman being me) ended up as a group activity since at least one person in most of the pubs decided to join in.
Getting lost in London and being dragged to a very dodgy party in an even dodgier neighbourhood. Taxies refused to go there so a new friend had to bring me back after he stopped laughing in my face when I asked him where I could get a taxi.
Getting lost in Prague and finding the best blues club I have ever been to. No idea how I got there, I got lost on the way back too.
Getting lost….okay so basically I get lost a lot…fun!
Teach, Learn, Share
Next to my day job I have experience in translating and language training, English-Dutch.
Also I have traveled on my own quite a bit and know how to get by. And how to get lost, I'm an expert in that field if I say so myself.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Very lame knock knock jokes and silly rhymes. I can be persuaded to sing, but also no to. I would advise the latter to be honest.
