We travel around the world with a drone (DJI Phantom 4). Maybe because we secretly wish we can fly.

You can usually find us in a surreal landscape. We have camped on mountain peaks, hiked in desert, dived on secluded islands with sea turtles, off-road motorcyle & bicycle trails, worked in bees farm...

We met while couchsurfing. Since then, we have travelled together in Southeast Asia, East & Central Asia and our home countries (Singapore + Ukraine). Don't worry, we are not the sticky type. We are independent, sociable individuals and we would not leave you out during conversations! :)

About Eileen (Singaporean):
I was raised in a fast-paced environment. The last ten years revolved around startups (eCommerce, trade shows and F&B export). I co-founded a business matchmaking website - connecting over 300,000 F&B manufacturers to buying managers in Asia and Middle East. The business prospered for years, but I was still unfulfilled. In Feb'16, I finally found the courage to begin my travel adventure and hitchhiked from Singapore to Ukraine.

I am passionate about earth-improving, community projects (i.e. I was the co-curator of TEDxSingapore events). I love storytelling, and am currently writing a book about our adventures in China. While on the road, I hope to meet social entrepreneurs whom I can support & contribute.

About Andrii (Ukrainian):
Andrii is not just a dreamer, but a doer! At 18, he did whatever he could to get his first job on the fishing vessel that sailed in Alaska. Since then, he has led a nomadic life and he loves every bit of it! His favorite countries are Nepal and Myanmar for their friendly people and beautiful places. He learns to speak many languages as he travels. Right now, he's working to become an awesome aerial photographer/videographer, to create documentaries. He enjoys music jamming and zen conversations.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Couchsurfing is like a world without borders.
We love such authentic local experiences! We love talking to locals, and exchange stories. That's how we met!

Interests

Eileen loves all types of water sports, wishes to meet (and learn from) a kungfu master, and supports organic beekeepers! She can talk to you all night about liveaboard scuba diving. She is learning to sail currently. One day, she hopes to get a yacht and sail around the world.

Andrii loves playing the guitar, and is passionate about music. He can also play the drums (acoustic drums and hand drum) and harmonica. He is interested to learn more about zen and astronomy.

Together, we enjoy discovering beautiful spots to fly our drone and create aerial videos / documentaries. We also keep a lookout for vegetarian Indian food (must be spicy) and veg pizza (must be cheesy) when we visit a new place!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have trekked Himalayas (Annapurna) for 2 weeks. It is still painful when I recall that cold shower on the altitude of 5400m 😅
