About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To make new friends, to experience things you can't find in Sunnypore!

ABOUT ME

I'm a person frequently stricken with wanderlust and sudden obsessions to see places. If I didn't love my teaching job, family and friends so much, I'd quit them all and travel the world.

PHILOSOPHY

Plan for everything, then let go.
Tell the truth. It's less trouble later on.
Make good memories to fall back on. Do things while your heart and knees can still hold out.
If things seem bad, eat a meal or go to sleep. It'll won't seem so bad in the morning.
Laughter is a great medicine, unless you're laughing for no reason, then you might need some other kind of medicine.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I've couch-surfed twice while in Australia, and it was very interesting.
I've always traveled independently since 2007. I like traveling and meeting new people, and thinking a lot.

Interests

I like sports, diving, listening to music, drawing, reading, travel and photography. I watch a lot of anime and read manga. I hold a second dan black belt in Taekwondo, but I'm very peaceable. Really. Stop looking at me like that. I like coffee. A lot.

Music, Movies, and Books

I like upbeat music and mellow songs. Phil Collins, Dave Matthews Band, U2, some Linkin Park, Japanese and soundtracks from movies and cartoons. For movies, I like epic fantasies. Lord of the Rings, Avatar, Star Wars, Star Trek etc.For books, I read almost anything, but like horror, mystery, fantasy, conspiracy genres. I read a lot of Japanese manga.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Life is amazing. I've fed deer in Japan, dived with turtles in Malaysia, hiked through cave systems, struggled with Russian directions in Kazakhstan, hot-air ballooned in Cappadocia Turkey, drank sherry and tripped around Montserrat in Spain, explored the ruins of Angkor Wat and Ephesus. And I've enjoyed meeting beautiful people in these beautiful places. I hope to continue on this amazing journey.

Teach, Learn, Share

I draw in anime style reasonably well for being self-taught. I also am passable in Japanese language, again self-taught. I can cook simple meals without having people die on me from food poisoning.. I hope to share a lot of laughter.
