About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Finding friendly, fun, interesting people (and comfortable couches) wherever I go
ABOUT ME
I'm Eileen. I have taken classes at 5 or 6 different colleges, switched my major several times, and ended up in psychology. After graduating, I worked as a lab manager in a cognitive science lab in DC for a couple years before moving back to the Boston area for grad school. I'm currently in a 5 year program that'll be finished in 2020 (that's my optimistic vision, anyway).
I like to get out when I can, grab a drink with coworkers, peers, friends, or go see shows or exhibits. I tend to get along with all types, and enjoy hearing others' experiences and perspectives. I have a somewhat lame, sometimes quirky or weird, often sarcastic but generally well-intended sense of humor.
PHILOSOPHY
How did the solipsist break up with his girlfriend?
...
"It's not you, it's me."
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm new here, and although I have used this site more so to ask locals for advice in my travels, I am open to couch-surfing (if the roommate is also all right with it). We don't mind company and love to entertain for friendly, well-trusted, fun guests.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Generally it's been friends, or friends of friends. I have couch surfed (not via this site but through friends that know people in the area I am visiting etc) in places such as Chicago, San Fran, London, and Berlin. I'm open-minded, and have heard good things about this site -- so we'll see!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sofia, Bulgaria for three weeks! Awesome.
Beforehand I wandered London, after Berlin. Lots of amazing.
Jackson Hole (WY) in the summer -- in a small cabin in a valley overlooked by the Grand Tetons, surrounded by buffalo and happiness and life.
Or San Francisco, in general. Still one of my favorite places yet.
Teach, Learn, Share
I make a mean vegetarian chili. I also enjoy doodling (can you teach that?). If you're passionate about something, I'll probably want to hear about it.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Humor, drink recipes, stories, a couch when/ if they find themselves in my area...
