Overview
About Me
I'm a student at the University of Edinburgh, but I grew up in the rural north-east of Scotland. During my third year of university I lived in Bergen, a city in one of the most amazing settings imaginable.
I want to travel while I’m young and have the freedom to get out and see the world, and I love the idea of having friends all over the planet. My favourite countries so far have been Iceland, Australia and Croatia, and I desperately want to return to all of them and explore them in depth. I love getting out in nature and exploring new places :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I love the feeling of having a community, and Couchsurfing is full of adventurous and friendly people who have a lot to offer. I've heard so many good things about Couchsurfing experiences and I want to be a part of it. Plus, y’know, it’s free.

Music, Movies, and Books
MUSIC: My music taste is kinda eclectic and unpredictable but I like a lot of post rock. I play bass guitar and tenor saxophone but don't often get the chance to practise anymore.
MOVIES: My all-time favourite film is Stardust, based on the book by Neil Gaiman and partially filmed on Skye, one of my favourite places in the world. Other favourites are The Truman Show, Entrapment, The Simpsons Movie and Wolf Children.
BOOKS: I usually choose books surrounding travel or areas of philosophy I'm interested in. Unfortunately most of the reading I do these days is for university.

Teach, Learn, Share
Sharing stories is my favourite way to spend time with people. At university I study philosophy and Scandinavian studies, so I'm always happy to talk about those subjects. I love learning other languages, and getting insights into different cultures. I know Scotland pretty well so I'm willing to give tips to anyone thinking of travelling there. I also enjoy photography and videography in my spare time and I'm always looking to improve.
