About Me

I'm a Scottish student currently on exchange in Stockholm, Sweden.

Currently unable to host (I'm staying in tiny student corridor) but will be offering a couch/floor when I'm back in Glasgow.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Travelling makes people feel exciting and spontaneous and those are the kind of people I want to be around! Would rather get a feel for a place through the people who live there than pay for a bus tour and feel like a tourist.

Interests

I've always lived in cities (Glasgow and Stockholm) so clubs and bars are familiar territory, but living in Scotland means I grew up close to some amazing unspoiled landscapes. I've been brought up to appreciate time spent outdoors, and luckily I've learned to love getting soaked, wind beaten and mosquito bitten. I can think of no better place to wake up than in a tent :)

also very interested in good food and beer.

Music, Movies, and Books

Belle and Sebastian remind me of Glasgow so I'll always go back to listening to them. Otherwise I'm not picky, and with films, anything goes. If I had to choose one it would be Inherent Vice, mostly because I'm a bit obsessed with Joaquin Phoenix (Paul Thomas Anderson is pretty good too I guess).

100 Years of Solitude left a big impression on me and I've read Harry Potter 10+ times.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Summer 2015 I summited Kilimanjaro which was pretty exciting...

This year I spent my birthday trekking in Arctic Sweden. I celebrated it under the midnight sun, wild camping by some big snowy mountains, with a good friend and a lot of reindeer for company :)

Teach, Learn, Share

I could definitely teach you some geology if you so wished...
