I am Eilish and travelling with my husband Greg. We are from a beach town called Newcastle in Australia. Greg is originally from the Uk but has lived in Australia for 10 years. We are currently on a two year adventure to travel across the world for our honeymoon, we got married in November 2022. We worked hard for 5 years to allow us to achieve this goal to quit our jobs, pack up our life and buy a backpack to see the world. We have a passion for seeing new places, experiencing new cultures and we love meeting new people and hearing their stories !

I have been an Occupational Therapist with both children and adults with disabilities for 4 years once I finished my University degree in 2018. Greg is a qualified electrician and Welder. On top of our full time jobs we fostered animals for 2 years to keep them out of the pounds and to find them a new home.

The reason we are couchsurfing is because we want to meet the local people while we are travelling. We are very interested in other peoples cultures and habits and think that couchsurfing is a great way to experience this. We want to be immersed with the locals of the countries and towns we visit along our journey. We also want to experience stuff that isn't well known to most tourists and from what i've heard from people, the people you stay with are mostly happy to show you their city or provide tips on places to go that are not typically known by tourists.
