About Me
ABOUT ME
I am quite peaceful person and in my peaceful way curious about people and the world around. At the moment I am studying again to update my degree to the level that the new reform in social- and healthcare services requires, occasionally work as an interpreter.
PHILOSOPHY
Trying to learn from the past, focus on the current and lead the future to right direction as much as it is
possible. Trying to reach the feeling of harmony by being honest with oneself and the others as well as forgive and be forgiven.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing express my life philosophy in many ways.
I have learned a lot from discussions I have had with people from different cultures and religions.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Couchsurfing has been a lovely experience and brought a lot of delight to my life. I have received people from different countries to my home and we have spent nice time together for example sightseeing in Helsinki, visiting art exhibitions, grilling in the woods, going for dancing or just relaxing at home.
Interests
As a social scientistist I am interested in modern society especially how we see gender, family and child rearing in different cultures and how these ideas develop and change in the global world. I have strong cultural curiosity especially towards Spanish and Portuguise speaking countries, Middle East and Russia. And in addition to academic studies I want to research these areas by travelling there and knowing the local people. I also do some voluntary work related to this areas like participating organizing South American movie festival in Helsinki, creating art performance in Finnish-Russian art project and attending demonstrations and cultural events of Kurdish people.
In my spare time I love to visit museums, city events and festivals, go to movies, cook and invite friends to have coffee or dinner. Sometimes it's also necessary to just stay at home, wrap yourself around warm blanket and enjoy a good film or book. Also try to do exercise regularly, mostly swimming and yoga. My two cat's which you can see in the pictures require care and dedication so I love to spend time with them.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My university degree is something I am very proud of. It was a demanding degree, took long time to make and my life situation didn't really favor studying. So that's why completing it makes me especially happy. Living in South America was eyes opening for me and I think I grew a lot in those years. I have also raised my two cats since they were kittens and seen their babies to born. It has been lovely to nurture and take care of them.
