European-American hybrid. Home-cities around the world: Orinda, Los Angeles, Braunschweig, Glasgow, Tabor, Copenhagen, Minneapolis, and Berlin. English, German, Danish, Czech. California and the American Southwest. Road trips in the US and train trips in Europe.

Interests

The following done in any order or simultaneously: Reading, strolling cities, drinking coffee, watching movies, dancing, writing, raving, people watching, teaching, traveling, sleeping, etc.

July 2008 until June 2011 was in Berlin.
July 2011 until June 2013 was in Minneapolis finishing a dissertation.
July 2013-present: in Los Angeles.

Music, Movies, and Books

MOVIES: Everything from classic Hollywood to science fiction: 2001:Space Odyssey, Blade Runner, Terminator, films by Fassbinder and Herzog - many more. I must admit I also like old British war epics - Zulu, Khartoum, Four Feathers, etc. Other random stuff: Giant, etc.

MUSIC: Electronic music, hip hop, industrial and ambient music. Classical music and everything else in between.

BOOKS: Soren Kierkegaard, Thomas Mann, Klaus Mann, Heinrich Heine, E.T.A. Hoffmann, Lion Feuchtwanger, etc.
