About Me

I'm a freelance filmmaker (editor and cinematographer) based in Brooklyn, New York. I was born in Sweden and grew up in America, and I'm very interested in figuring out how to work remotely around the world. Lately I've been exploring the idea of living between two cities -- Stockholm and Brooklyn -- working as a freelancer in the film industry. I love working on documentaries and most of my work is in either branded films or corporate editing. I always try to work on personal film projects and I would be happy to share my work with you! It's always nice to watch my films together with new people and hear their reactions.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I've hosted couchsurfers in Boston, and I've couchsurfed across the US and China. While it wasn't through this website, I've crashed on countless people's couches while traveling around the world. What a great community! I've met so many kind and curious people, and I've always appreciated the opportunity to get/give local info that would be hard to get even from Airbnb.

Interests

Filmmaking (mostly documentary), exploring new neighborhood on bike, film festivals, weirdo art performances, galleries, community festivals, my ~50 plant babies in my apartment in Brooklyn, advocating for pedestrian- and bike-centered neighborhoods .....aaaaand couchsurfing!

Always happy to share what I know about filmmaking and photography... whether camera gear or editing software.

I'm happy to help someone practice any of the languages that I speak (English, Swedish, Mandarin Chinese... My Spanish is pretty terrible though). I'm always game to take and share portrait photos of my hosts/guests.
